Meet Casper – Our Golden Jewel from Poland
Casper is a British Shorthair male and a cornerstone of our DBE (Dominant Blue Eyes) Program, which you can learn more about in our blog article. He is a Black Golden Chinchilla (NY-12) from the prestigious Golden Line, carefully selected for both beauty and temperament. We are honored to have imported him from the respected Daviway Cattery in Poland.
What truly sets Casper apart is not just his rare appearance, but his exceptional character. He is incredibly affectionate, social, and thrives on human interaction — always eager for cuddles and attention. In our breeding philosophy, temperament comes first, and Casper embodies the kind of loving personality we value most.
🧬 Health & Genetics
Casper has been fully tested through Wisdom Panel for over 50 genetic conditions, all of which came back clear. He is blood type A and does not carry any known inherited diseases. While we do not test for HCM due to the lack of a reliable genetic test in British Shorthairs, we remain vigilant and transparent in our breeding ethics and do not use any cats that display health concerns.
🔹 Why He’s Being Retired:

Casper proved to be extremely hormonal as a stud. Without suitable females available for him, he became stressed, which affected his weight and coat quality. For his wellbeing, we decided to have him fixed so he can live a calmer, healthier life.

After turning one year old, Casper developed slightly narrow nostrils. While he is overall healthy and has passed his Wisdom Panel genetic testing (50+ diseases clear), this feature could potentially be a hereditary concern. Because of this, and the fact that the Dominant Blue Eyes program is still relatively new and not fully studied, we made the decision not to continue using him in our breeding program.
